Mileage before leaving Tulsa:

This was my second time visiting the Oklahoma City Memorial. If you are ever driving through OKC, it is certainly worth a stop. A really like what they did with the space. It's simple, yet moving.
Welcome to Texas! Darkness came quicker than expected after we got into Texas so there wasn't an opportunity to take any landscape shots, although from the looks of it there wasn't anything in Northern Texas. The warmer temps were a nice respite from the bitter cold of the last couple days.
According to a rather old looking sign in Groom, Texas, this is the largest cross in the western hemisphere. I think a certain cross a short distance across the river in Illinois would have something to say about that title.
We got into Albuquerque, NM ("The Land of Enchantment") much later than expected but made it non-the-less. The difference between the flat lands we drove for hundreds of miles compared to the taller landscape near Albuquerque was quite striking. The morning light revealed beautiful mountains that were only shadows last night.
